Shaker Style Maple End Table

A staple project of the Vermont Woodworking School. This end table was designed by the Shakers, known for their eccentric dancing and hugely influential furniture designs. Using nothing but wood, the Shakers built furniture without hardware, using interlocking joinery. Constructed from local Vermont maple, featuring a hand-turned walnut knob and hand-sawn houndstooth dovetails.
